“Today a bride, Tomorrow a wife, Forever your little girl.” — Unknown
Today’s photo is another from the wedding I photographed last month. It’s an example of a “happy disappointment”; it wasn’t the shot I was going for — I had hoped to catch the bride and her father looking straight ahead. But that didn’t happen while they were within the area I wanted them placed in the composition. I took the shot anyway and I’m glad I did. I hope you like it, too.

When love comes your way, grasp onto it. Nurture it and it will nurture you. Love is the source of life, the framework of God’s creation. Without love, there is only selfishness, Self-ishness. The paradox of love is that you hang on by letting go; love not built on trust is nothing more than control.

I had the pleasure of photographing my first wedding over the weekend and it was a beautiful celebration of unity, love and friendship. I have to admit I got pretty excited when I learned the newlyweds really like B&W. 🙂 I wish them heartfelt congratulations and much joy on the road of life they will walk together, hand in hand.
