Mahabodhi Temple

“Religion points to that area of human experience where in one way or another man comes upon mystery as a summons to pilgrimage.”
— Frederick Buechner

Another image from the series I’m running this week, taken at the local Buddhist monastery. Mahabodhi Temple in Bodgaya, India, is a site to which many Buddhists make a pilgrimage to gain merit. Wat Florida Dhammaram has constructed replicas of this temple and several other sacred Buddhist pilgrimage sites on its property in Kissimmee. I hope you enjoy the photo.
