Clown!

“There are two types of people in this world. People who hate clowns…and clowns.”
― D.J. MacHale,
The Quillan Games

If you’ve followed my blog for a while, you’ve already learned that I am not a fan of clowns. No way, no how. And although the clown from the Osceola County Fair pictured here certainly looks harmless and friendly enough, I’m sure he must have fangs in his mouth or perhaps horns hidden under his hat. Sure, he looks innocent now — but wait until you see his face in the dark of a nighttime storm, grotesquely illuminated by flashes of lightning and emphasized by the foreboding crash of thunder. Yeah…I bet you wouldn’t hold your hand out to him then.

Be careful out there.

Little Cowboy

“I said I wanted to be a cowboy when I grew up… Mom said I would have to choose.”
—Unknown

During my photo-wandering at the Osceola County Fair in Kissimmee this past weekend, I noticed this young cowboy, whose parents so graciously permitted me to photograph him. Perhaps I got a little over-zealous in processing the image, but the fact is, I rather like the result. I’m hopeful you will like it, too.

Symmetry

The Osceola County Fair opened in Kissimmee on Friday, so I decided it would be a fun place to go find photos waiting to be made. I will share some of the results of that outing in my next few blog posts, starting with a bright bit of “Symmetry” — which happens to be this week’s topic in the WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge. Enjoy!
