misery

Touched by a Toy

“There is no greater sorrow than to recall happiness in times of misery.”
— Dante Alighieri

We buried my great aunt on Monday, who died in her sleep after 103 years of remarkable life. Walking through the cemetery, I came upon this marker for an 11 year-old boy who died in 1965. Uncomfortable, isn’t it?
