The Watchdog

I went on a local cemetery romp about an hour before sundown yesterday with a couple of off-camera Nikon SB-910 flashes and my MagMod flash modifiers. For this shot, I intentionally underexposed the scene to give it a nighttime feel, then lit the dog grave ornament and the area behind it using 2 stacked MagGrids mounted on a single flash. I believe it was set at 1/2 power.

Cat & Mouse

“When my cats aren’t happy, I’m not happy. Not because I care about their mood but because I know they’re just sitting there thinking up ways to get even.”
-Percy Bysshe Shelley

Cooper daydreams about the day he finally kills Shredrick, his nearly-destroyed mouse, who’s literally been hanging on by a thread these last few weeks.

Layla’s Look (One-Eyed Disdain)

After scolding one’s cat one looks into its face and is seized by the ugly suspicion that it understood every word. And has filed it for reference.

This morning I decided to capture a few photos using my mirrorless Fujifilm X-T1 (love this camera!), a couple of stacked MagMod MagGrid flash modifiers on a Nikon SB-910 flash and my least willing in-home subject, Layla. Doesn’t she look happy? #MadeWithMagMod
