Innocent Eyes

"Children make you want to start life over."
— Muhammad Ali

I marvel at the way an infant can observe the world around them as new and wonderful and even the most simple pleasure as play. I would gain much from the opportunity to have an infant guide me in relearning this skill, though I would never wish to be a parent to anything more complicated than a cat.

The Threat of a Woman

Before getting to today’s photo, let me just say “Thank you!” to Echwalu – author and artist of a tremendous photo-blog in Uganda, for nominating I Shutter At The Thought! for a 2012 Versatile Bloggers Award. I am humbled by and grateful for the recognition by this wonderfully talented photographer.

It is rare that one can see in a little boy the promise of a man,
but one can almost always see in a little girl the threat of a woman.
