Rear Entrance

“Be an opener of doors.” —Ralph Waldo Emerson

I took this photo at a ridiculously high ISO of 6400 — totally unnecessary for the amount of available light — because I wanted to see how the Fujifilm X-T1 performed at high ISO from the standpoint of image noise. I was impressed with the image as it came out of the camera; while there was some noticeable noise in the darker areas of the image, it cleaned up easily in Lightroom.

  1. So, yet another Fuji lover? I have been using the Fuji X-T1 for maybe 6 months now. And though I still feel like I have merely scratched the surface of what this camera can do, it has far outshadowed my Canon. I started out using both cameras but, lately find I use the Fuji in almost every situation.

    1. I’m having so much fun with this camera! I bought it used with the 18-135mm lens and vertical grip as an “always with me” camera and it’s literally always with me! My Nikons are great for my studio and on-location work, but as you say, I’ve barely scratched the surface of what this camera can do. I REALLY want the new infrared-optimized XT-1 IR, but that’s a wish for another day… 🙂 Thanks for your comment and for stopping by my blog.
