Pacific Star Winery, Reworked

This is a photo I took back in 2009, when James and I made our first trip to Northern California to visit dear friends Louis and Alan. I came across it the other day while reorganizing some images and was inspired to approach it with some creative processing. I used OnOne Software’s “Perfect Studio 9” to render something new and more exciting. I hope you’ll like the result.

  1. What a difference between the two. I love what you did on your reworked photo. It adds more interest and draws me more into the picture. Great job!!

  2. With all due respect to Linda, your reworked image takes away from the serenity & quietness of a beautiful, natural rendition of the scene. In other words, “If it ain’t broke, don’t try and fix it.” That includes producing an image with new software that degrades the original, because that is the one your viewers will remember as Earl’s best. It wasn’t.

    1. My dearest dad, I long ago came to understand and appreciate that your photographic preferences are confined to the traditional. Quite often, I like to step out of that box. As was famously said, “You can’t please everyone.” Especially when it comes to art! ❤
