Photographing Amber put me once again at Salt Lake City’s Wheeler Farm, which is quickly becoming one of my favorite locales purely from the standpoint of versatility and accessibility. I’ve been to Wheeler Farm at least once every week for the last four weeks! If you’re a local and you’ve not been, it’s a great destination for spending an afternoon relaxing outdoors in the sunshine.

What I find most interesting about this photo (other than the stunning blue-eyed model!) is the gradient of light going from left to right. Not only is it in the background (dark door, light wall), but it’s in her arms, her hair, and even in the saddle/jeans in the bottom of the picture.
Impressive. 🙂

I was especially happy with the lighting on this shot, Wade. Amber was completely shaded by the roof of the porch we were on, so the lighting is primarily the result of my flash and modified LightSphere.

LOL. Thanks, Jill. He’s my most honest critic. You don’t see the emails. 🙂
