Historic Wheeler Farm

“It’s no good running a pig farm badly for 30 years while saying, ‘Really, I was meant to be a ballet dancer.’ By then, pigs will be your style.”
– Quentin Crisp (1908-1999)

Just down the road a piece is a very beautiful Salt Lake County park, Historic Wheeler Farm. I should probably have gone there a long time ago, but sometimes you miss the things that are right in front of you. Or am I the only one that happens to?

The first convincing evidence of spring that I've seen!

Captured just seconds before this ornery fella tried to peck my camera (but due to my quick reflexes, he got the tripod instead!)

The original barn has been redone as an activity center.

I've had a thing for locks since I was a child... I don't have to collect them now, though - I'm happy just photographing them.

Poor guy: the other ducks would run away when he'd approach, as if bad coiffure was contagious!

Please come back tomorrow for a close-up look at some antique farm machines…
